 Money & Other Things to Carry : 

Indian Rupees are not accepted in Tibet. We will assist in exchanging the amount for Yuan (Chinese Currency) upon your arrival in Kathmandu.

The official Chinese Currency used by the Tibetans is circulated in denominations (notes) of 1,2,5,10,100 Yuan. 1 Yuan is equivalent to approximately INR 11. It is advisable to carry the Chinese Yuan to avoid unhealthy rates and futile bargaining at the Kodari Border or Zhangmu.

The unit of Chinese Currency is Yuan. USD 1 = 6.00 Yuan. Exchange all your remaining Yuan at the end of the trip at Zhangmu itself before re-entering Nepal.

Important Note: Carring INR 1000 & INR 500 denominations are limited to INR 25,000 in Nepal according to the rule of NRB.Indian Passport & Election (Voter) ID cards are the only valid Identification proof to enter Nepal by air. Other valid ID proofs are also accepted to enter Nepal overland.

FAQ:

Accommodation: In Nepal, clients will stay in twin sharing rooms (single rooms available for additional cost) in a high-quality hotel in the heart of Kathmandu. In Tibet, the accommodation will be tents with a bathing tent or straightforward guest houses (when available) with shared rooms and basic toilet facilities. Our staff will attend to all the camping responsibilities.

Tibet Permit & Visa: 

Tibet is the Autonomous region of China. So you will not get the special permit and Visa for Tibet directly In your country. You must proceed with a permit and Visa for Tibet through our Agency.

We must receive scan copy of your passport at least 35 days before arrival in gateway cities (Kathmandu or Lhasa). The passport must be the same as scan copy and valid for more than six months.

We request to dispatch the original passport at our Delhi office for Indian passport holders 15 days before arriving in Kathmandu, and other than Indian passport holders must spend at least two nights in Kathmandu to issue Tibet visas. They will also require to bring two passport-size photos. We shall send the client a "Chinese embassy visa form" well in advance to be filled up by each client, which can either be sent to us by email or collected upon arrival.

Those who enter Lhasa from mainland China are requested to obtain a Chinese visa in their home country, and we will organize a Tibet permit and handover it over through our agent in Lhasa.

Chinese visa will be valid for China mainland only, do not bring a Chinese visa if you are entering Tibet from Kathmandu. If you obtain a Chinese visa, the Chinese ambassy will cancel your mainland visa during your journey to Tibet.

Outer & Inner Kora: Outer kora means parikrama of Kailash Parvat in 3 days. The regular Overland and Helicopter trips are only outer kora which is easy to complete. Inner kora means parikrama of Nandi Parvat and visits tirtha puri, saptarishi cave including Kailash Parbat. However, it is more challenging and adventurous than outer kora.

Group Size: Our group size is a minimum of 25 pax on a group joining basis and a minimum of five pax on a private tour basis—no limitation for maximum group size.

However, all the tours in Tibet are conducted strictly under the rules & regulations of the Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB). Therefore, Its counterpart shall not be responsible for any change and alteration in the program due to unavoidable circumstances such as landslide, road blockage, flood, snowfall, political unrest, flight cancellation, delayed arrival, delayed issue of permit and visa, sickness, or accidents. The clients shall bear any extra cost incurred on the spot.

CIPSC (China Indian Pilgrims' Service Center)  has the authority to handle travel arrangements & fix rates for the Indian pilgrims on the Tibet side.

  • We provide Kathmandu – Nepalganj – Simikot and return by fixed wing and Simikot – Hilsa and return by charter helicopter for Kailash yatra.

Tibet Side:

  • We provide AC Deluxe Coach for the entire journey of Tibet.
  • We also provide a supporting Truck to carry luggage and equipment.
  • We provide one escorting Jeep during the entire journey of Tibet.

Program ( 8 Days )

Pick you up at the airport. Our guide will accompany you to Nepalgunj. Driving over the border between India and Nepal just takes four hours. Check in, have dinner and stay the night.

Take an early-morning flight from Nepaljung to Simikot. A consistent, brief flight from Nepaljung to Simikot takes place every morning. From Simikot, take a small aircraft to Hilsa, pass the Nepal-Tibet border, and then drive to Purang. The remainder of the day is spent relaxing to help the body adjust.

Today is a free day for acclimatization in Purang. In Purang, you should only rest and remain in your hotel. It could be fun for you to stroll through the surrounding markets. In Purang, there are several tiny local businesses, eateries, and stores where you may buy travel-related accessories like gloves, sticks, empty water bottles, hiking shoes, etc.

Manasarovar is reachable quickly from Purang. S pend the entire day on the lake's edge. It is currently possible to take a bath in Manasarovar water and engage in spiritual activities there. Staying a long day here today will aid your body's process of acclimatization. The three-hour journey to Lake Mansarovar's 90 km parikrama includes, if feasible, a bus stop midway along the kora from which you may see the lake and Mount Kailash from a new perspective. After the parikrama, return to your accommodation and recover.

Travel from Manasarovar through Darchen for around 47 kilometers to Yamadwor. Set off in Derapuk's direction. Helpers will be present with those who have reserved horses. It takes 4 to 5 hours to stroll comfortably. The beginning of the walk from this location is thought to be at Yam Dwar (Gate to Moksha). The final target for today is Dirapuk, which is 12 miles distant. The pilgrims need 4-6 hours to trek this distance. Today's walk has a few tiny ups and downs but is otherwise level.

Early morning is a good time to begin the second day of the Kailash parikrama. The hardest day of the journey is today since we have to cross Dolma La's highest pass (5613m). After this momentous occasion, continue your difficult 22-kilometer hike to Zuthulpuk. The climb's highest and most difficult point, Dolma La pass, is reached about an hour after the walk from Dirapuk begins. The overall travel time to Juthulpuk is 8 to 9 hours.

After breakfast, take a leisurely 3-hour stroll to Mani walls. From Darchen, take the same vehicle to Purang, which is also close to the Nepal-Tibet border. We will go 45 kilometers to the border between China and Nepal. After completing immigration procedures, walk across the border to the Hilsa, Nepal side.

Today, we will travel to Simikot by helicopter and take a connection flight to Nepaljung. After we reach Nepalgunj, we will continue our drive back to Lucknow.
