A Cultural Journey in Kathmandu

Kathmandu is a valley surrounded by lovely rolling green hills and dazzling snow-capped peaks to the north at 1300 meters above sea level. We can see the Himalayan mountains' pristine snow-capped mountains on clear days. The Kathmandu valley has three tiny historical kingdoms. Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur merged into one enormous metropolitan sprawl.

Most tourists make their first stop in Nepal's political, economic, and cultural centers. It is home to Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur, three legendary cities formerly part of a distinct monarchy. The Kathmandu cultural tour will also take you to seven of the ten UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Valley.

The VValley'sinitial history begins with the Buddhist saint Manjushree, who carved a tunnel through the surrounding hills to drain the area's foundational waters and make it habitable. Over time, a complex urban civilization emerged based on a unique mix of Hinduism and Buddhism.

Kathmandu Durbar SSquare'scollection of palaces, courtyards, and temples, including the Taleju Temple, Kumari Ghar (Abode of the Living Goddess), and Hanumandhoka Palace, were constructed between the 12th and 18th centuries and served as the royal residence of the ancient Malla Kings of Kathmandu. The stone inscription, written in 15 different languages and embedded into the palace wall in the 17th century, is an unusual feature of this location. The Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, serves as the city's social, religious, and civic hub. The solemnization of coronations and other important official and social festivities continue to be held in one of the complex courtyards today. Additionally, the palace structure houses several museums.
