It is also the capital of the Everest or Khumbu region, with government offices, ATMs, shops, and a vibrant market. Hike up to Sagarmatha National Park to see the dawn over the Himalayan peaks such as Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kongde, among others.
