Manakamana Cable Car Tour

Manakamana is one of Nepal's most famous pilgrimage sites, situated on a hillock near Gokarna. The pilgrims worship the goddess Kali in Manakamana temple as Hindus believe Kali blesses and grant pilgrims' wishes. The temple of Goddesses Manakamana lies 125 km west of Kathmandu. We can reach the Manakamna temple by cable car. The cable car tours are popular because you get to the destination within 10 minutes and enjoy the view of the hills while ascending.

Chandragiri Hills Cable Car Tour

Chandragiri hill is situated about seven kilometers from the Kathmandu valley and lies at an altitude of 2540 m above sea level. It is a new destination for a day trip inside the valley. High altitude Peaks and breathtaking view of Kathmandu valley covered by green flora makes Chandragiri a perfect landscape. The continuous view of the Himalayas from Annapurna to Everest gives the feel of Nepal.

We can reach Thankot from Kathmandu within half an hour. Tickets for Cable cars are available at Godam Chaur near Thankot. The cable car route is around 2.5 km and takes approximately 9 to 14 minutes, depending on wind speed.

Manakamana Cable Car Station is a 2-and-a-half-hour journey from Kathmandu. Prepare to be amazed as you zoom through the Trishuli River and into the mountains, reaching 1033 m (3389 ft) in height over a 2.3-kilometer stretch (1.7 mi). The summit will meet you with amazing views of the Himalayan peaks of Manaslu, Himalchuli, and Annapurna. At the Bottom Station premises, an international quality restaurant serves local, Indian, and foreign cuisines. There is also a souvenir store and coin-operated games, and many further additions are planned for the future.

The distance from Kathmandu valley to the Chandragiri Cable Car station is around 11 kilometers. You may take a taxi or rent a car from your lodging to the cable car's base station, which takes approximately 30 minutes to reach. You can ride the Cable Car Station after purchasing a ticket at the base station. Ticket prices are three categories based on nationality. It is essential to carry your legitimate ID on your journey. From Sunday through Friday, the Chandragiri Cable Car is operational from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. In the middle of the day, there will be a one-hour lunch break. Lunch is served from 12:30 PM to 01:30 PM. If you want to travel on Saturday or Sunday, the cable car departs one hour earlier than on other days. The cable car runs from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This restriction was also applicable on public holidays.
