Holy Buddhist Tour in India

The Buddhist tour in India takes visitors on a thorough journey to locations with significant Buddhist importance, commencing in Delhi, the nation's capital. Also, we will visit Delhi's spectacular Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Rajghat, Humanyun Tomb, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Birla Mandir, and Bahai Temple.

Following the time spent sightseeing, you will depart for Patna, where they will take a trip to Vaishali. The location of Lord Buddha's final discourse and announcement of his enlightenment is Vaishali. Then, we'll go to Nalanda, the site of many of Lord Buddha's alleged discourses. Numerous monasteries and temples with stunning Buddhist and Hindu statues may be seen here. We'll also go to Bodhgaya, the location of Lord Buddha's purported Nirvana. The Satabodhi Temple, Japanese and Tibetan monasteries, and the Magadha University Museum will all be visited after that.

There will be a trip to Sarnath, the main Buddhist center, where the Buddha delivered his first sermon after being enlightened. Next, we will visit Kushinagar, the site of the Buddha's enlightenment. Later on, we stop to the Ramabha stupa, the place where they burned Lord Buddha's body. Also, we will go to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, at the end of the journey. A historic shrine still contains a picture of the Buddha's birth.

Buddha's father was Suddhodana, king of the Sakhyas. Buddha's mother was named Maya. Buddha was born in B.C. 560 and died at the age of eighty in B.C. 480. The place of his birth was a grove known as Lumbini, near the city of Kapilavastu, at the foot of Mount Palpa in the Himalayan ranges within Nepal. This small city Kapilavastu stood on the bank of the little river Rohini, some hundred miles northeast of the city of Varanasi. As the time drew nigh for Buddha to enter the world, the gods themselves prepared the way before him with celestial portents and signs. Flowers bloomed, gentle rains fell, although out of season; heavenly music was heard, and delicious scents filled the air.

The body of the child bore at birth the thirty-two auspicious marks (Mahavyanjana), which indicated his future greatness, besides secondary marks (Anuvyanjana) in large numbers. Maya died seven days after her son's birth. The child was brought up by Maya's sister Mahaprajapati, who became his foster mother.
